On 14th September 2022, US Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Marcia Fudge visited Berlin TXL to learn about the plans for the Urban Tech Republic and Schumacher Quartier. The delegation was welcomed by Andreas Geisel, Berlin’s Senator for Urban Development, Construction and Housing, and Gudrun Sack, Managing Director of Tegel Projekt GmbH. The focus of the professional exchange with subsequent field tour was on questions of sustainable design of urban living environments, social infrastructure and financing as well as dealing with the effects of climate change on our cities.
