H₂ – a short formula, but one that can permanently change our mobility and make our energy supply fit for the future. This was the consensus at the meeting of the HyMobility expert commission on June 4 at the Infocenter Berlin TXL. The event was held under the motto “Fuel cell mobility creates security of supply for Germany as a business location” and was organized by the expert commission of the German Hydrogen Association (Deutscher Wasserstoff-Verband), which brings together leading individuals and companies from the field of fuel cell mobility and hydrogen. HyMobility is convinced that the direct use of hydrogen in fuel cell vehicles is the most efficient and therefore the most economical and environmentally friendly solution in the mobility sector. But what conditions need to be created so that the economy and population can benefit from a secure hydrogen supply? Stefan Gelbhaar (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen), Thomas Bareiß (CDU), Nils Burkhardt (CTO, H2 Green Power & Logistics GmbH) and Charles Cambournac (Managing Director of Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility AG) discussed this in a lively panel discussion. Well-known companies such as DB Schenker, but also up-and-coming start-ups such as our resident STOFF2, presented their latest developments and applications of hydrogen technology. The guests were able to marvel at innovative hydrogen vehicles from well-known manufacturers such as BMW and Hyundai Motors before taking a test drive together across the site. We are delighted to be part of these forward-looking discussions and developments and would like to thank everyone who actively contributed to this successful event.
