On 16 September 2022, excursions to the Berlin TXL site took place on the occasion of the 15th Federal Congress on National Urban Development Policy. Professional visitors from urban development, politics and administration, as well as expert planners from all over Germany and international guests had registered to get to know Berlin TXL – The Urban Tech Republic and Schumacher Quartier and to talk to the minds behind these projects.
Those interested followed the presentations by Gudrun Sack, Managing Director of Tegel Projekt GmbH, as well as representatives of the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing and the Reinickendorf district authority, before taking the bus onto the tarmac. At the Federal Congress on National Urban Development, held from 14th to the 16th September 2022 at the Berlin station, current approaches and strategies of urban development policy and ideas for sustainable and integrated development of urban and rural areas were discussed at national, European and international level.
The motto this year: “Shaping Transformation – Towards Urban Resilience”.
