It has been a good year since the last plane took off here. Now the first tenants are moving in and filling the location with life. The software company EasyMile researches forward-looking and clean mobility solutions. The company thus finds a suitable environment in the Urban Tech Republic, because mobility is a core topic of the industrial and research park for green future technologies. “The focus of the Urban Tech Republic is on technologies for the growing metropolises of the 21st century,” says Gudrun Sack, the managing director of Tegel Projekt GmbH. “As a manufacturer of electric and automated transport solutions, EasyMile is an ideal fit for the innovation-driven profile of the Urban Tech Republic. We are therefore delighted to welcome EasyMile on board as one of our first tenants.”
EasyMile has already been based in Germany since 2017 and is now expanding its team and premises in Berlin to advance research and development in the field of autonomous driving. The company offers software and complete solutions for autonomous passenger and freight transport and has already put autonomous vehicles on the road at over 300 locations in more than 30 countries.
