The dataset includes six informal sub-areas of the urban development area around the former Tegel Airport.
Why do we provide Open Data?
We would like to support the Open Data strategy of the State of Berlin and thus actively help to make a contribution to open administration. The process steps required for this have been successfully implemented at Tegel Projekt GmbH and are thus the cornerstone for potentially further data sets. There are also other advantages of open data, i.e. “open data” for the general public. Among other things, public opinion-forming can now be improved, data can be presented transparently to the general public and, for example, the data can be processed accordingly for business and/or research.
What is possible with it?
The subspaces can now be viewed and used via the Berlin geoportal (“FIS Broker”). Interested parties can integrate the subspaces in their own map applications, e.g. as an image, or process them further. Tegel Projekt GmbH uses existing publication structures of the Berlin Geoportal and thus shows a connection to an already established system. Data exchange is implemented via the data platforms with other stakeholders.
