The state of Berlin has commissioned Tegel Projekt GmbH with the development and management of Berlin TXL. The state-owned company employs almost 80 people, whose tasks among others include planning the building construction and the technical, energy and transport infrastructure, as well as marketing and communicating the project to the public.
