Sustainable building and insulation materials are key to achieving several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including the decarbonization of the building materials industry, one of the largest C02 emitters, and the design of cities and communities.
CannaBau develops building materials based on hemp lime, a sustainable solution that has been tried and tested for many years but is not yet widely used in this country. The aim is to bring hemp lime onto the market as a standardized building material in large quantities and thus enable sustainable construction. This idea has its finger on the pulse of the times and regularly generates a great deal of interest during tours of the community.
The team around the founders Gökcan Güney (Dipl.Tech. Process Engineering/Environmental Engineering) and Roger Dauer (Architect) have been passionately involved in the production of ecological and sustainable building materials for years.
In the .GUT community, the CannaBau team not only supports the development of building materials with advice and action in construction measures, but also offers further training measures to interested members of the public and specialist audiences.
