Many interested residents came to the 7th Moabit Energy Day on 1 September in bright sunshine. At the Tiergarten town hall, people were able to find out about climate protection, the energy transition and new mobility. This year, the Energy Day took place for the first time as part of the “Kiezfest Moabit”, which is organised by local initiatives.
Hundreds of interested Berliners took the opportunity to find out about innovations in the fields of environment, mobility and energy at market stalls on four “theme courses” on the mobility mile on Jonasstraße. On the experimentation and hands-on course, many ideas were tried out right away. In addition to large companies such as Berliner Stadtwerke, Vattenfall, stadtmobil and Parkstrom, local environmental projects, associations and initiatives also presented innovative concepts for emission-free mobility, energy efficiency in trade and construction and the careful use of resources. At the same time, the colourful supporting programme of the neighbourhood festival on the stage in front of the town hall invited numerous neighbours and families to linger. The Moabit Energy Day is organised by the Moabit Business Network. The business network represents the location interests of Moabit businesses and is committed to the further development of the location conditions. The network is culturally and socially engaged in its surroundings. In addition to partners from Berlin’s business community, the business association is supported by the Green Moabit redevelopment management.
