3D walk through Berlin TXL

A virtual walk through the city of the future is now also possible via smartphone. The Berlin TXL app has been adapted to the ongoing planning and is now compatible for iPhones and older iPads for the first time.

From now on, interested parties can explore the 500-hectare area playfully on the iPhone. By simply navigating and zooming, users can explore from the ground or fly over the rooftops. From a bird’s eye view, the dimensions of Europe’s largest urban development project really become clear.

From the Urban Tech Republic campus to the Rainwater Lake to the Windmill Square of the Schumacher Quarter: The app invites you to visit various “points of interest”. This also highlights the connection between the two major projects in terms of content. In the Schumacher Quartier, the ideas being developed in the Urban Tech Republic are being applied. Whether climate-neutral solutions for energy supply or new approaches to mobility in the neighborhood: model projects for the future of urban living are being realized here.

With animated BSR robots, parcel drones, windmills and birdsong, the Berlin TXL app brings a piece of new Berlin to life virtually. The Unity-based 3D model even shows different times of day and construction phases. The app is under continuous development.
