Around 50% of the electricity generated worldwide flows through MR products, making it an important player in the energy transition. The Regensburg-based company has been ensuring a sustainable, affordable, secure and therefore future-proof power supply with its analog and digital solutions since 1868.

Here in the Urban Tech Republic, the 30-strong “Power Quality Converters” team works on innovative solutions for the efficient coupling of regeneratively generated energy (using photovoltaics), storage and consumption – for example when charging electric cars. They develop power electronic components and systems for applications in industrial, commercial and public energy distribution grids and bidirectional inverters for storage systems as well as innovative, open DC grids. Testing, optimization and demonstrations are then carried out in the System Integration Center that is being created here.
